Monthly updates

As part of my mission to ‘Take 12 Trips’ in 2014, I’m taking at least one trip each month – which can be anything from a local day out to an international trip. So far this year my trips have taken me from the North of England to the souks of Morocco, back to my old hometown of London and on a culinary journey to Catania in Sicily. But June saw me trying out a whole new travel style on my first cruise.

So far this year my trips have taken me from the North of England to the souks of Morocco and then back to my old hometown of London. But May was my busiest travel month yet.
As part of my mission to ‘Take 12 Trips’ in 2014, I’m taking at least one trip a month – which can be anything from a local day out to an international trip. After starting the year with two trips to the north of England, it was lovely to see some sun on last month’s mini-honeymoon in Morocco. But by the time my April trip came round, spring was on its way, with blossom on the trees in my destination of the month – London.
As part of my mission to ‘Take 12 Trips’ in 2014, I’m taking at least one trip every month – which can be anything from a local day out to an international trip. After January and February had me bundling on the layers for trips to the north of England, it was time to warm up with my first international trip of the year to Morocco in March. And it wasn’t for just any old trip, it was my honeymoon… well one of them anyway.

After January took me to Manchester, I stuck with the chilly, northern cities theme by heading even further up the country to Newcastle. The north-east of England is a part of the country I know shamefully little of. My only previous trip to Newcastle was 12 years ago and involved a six-hour drive from London, a big night out, then a six-hour drive back.
Being a part-time traveller, I’m always looking to fit in as much travel as I can possibly manage, so the ‘Take 12 Trips’ challenge was made for me. Started off by Claire from Need Another Holiday, the idea is to commit to taking a trip each month of the year – whether that’s a day out, a weekend away or an international trip. I made a start at the end of last year, but am going to try and make at least one trip a month for the whole of 2014.
