One of the city’s most famous sons, you can’t go far in Glasgow without coming across the Art Nouveau style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Born in Glasgow in 1868, Mackintosh trained as an architect while studying art and design evening classes at the city’s School of Art, where he met his wife Margaret. Together with her sister and brother-in-law, ‘The Four’ created a new Glasgow style.
